Dr. Mortimer worked in the Detroit area for 6 years before moving to East Lansing and purchasing East Lansing Veterinary Clinic (formerly Hagadorn Veterinary Clinic) in October, 1995. He expanded and moved to the current location in September, 2001. His special interests in Veterinary Medicine include Dentistry, Internal Medicine, General Surgery and Dermatology. He lives in Okemos with his wife, 1 cat and 2 dogs. His hobbies include bird watching, hiking, travel and reading.

Dr. Ebling has worked in the surrounding area for the past 7 years and started working part-time for East Lansing Veterinary Clinic in March, 2003. His special interests in veterinary medicine include general medicine, surgery, pain management and sporting dogs. Dr. Ebling lives in Howell with his wife and his dog Dart. His hobbies include camping, canoeing and cooking.

Dr. Howe joined East Lansing Veterinary Clinic part-time in May 2017. His special interests in veterinary medicine include exotic pets, zoo animals, bats, backyard poultry, bees, behavior, and general medicine. He currently lives in Holt with his dog, Rocky. He enjoys birdwatching, walking with Rocky, visiting friends, and watching funny monster films.

Dr. Rachel Harshbarger is a 2003 graduate of Michigan State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine and is originally from Jackson, MI. She is married to her high school sweetheart, and they have 2 children. They have a hobby farm with several pets, including her Jersey steer, Norman. Dr. Rachel’s special areas of interest are soft tissue surgery, exotic animal medicine and acupuncture. She is excited to join the team at East Lansing Veterinary Clinic and is looking forward to meeting you and your pets! Go Green!
